It's strange, but that method always seemed to work in our house too!

Michelle

My sewing machine kept doing that to me yesterday too. I was trying to sew a zipper in for a dog bed I've been working on, but everytime I sat down with the dog bed it would do the bunchy thing. I messed with the tension enough to get it done. But I'm glad I wasn't working on any gifts at the time.

It is just incredibly frustrating. Sometimes it seems a freshly wound bobbin also helps my machine.

Strangely (or not) I feel so much better knowing that I'm not the only one who rationalizes letting my machines "nap" for a while to fix their problems (thanks Leslie) and that you had the same problems yesterday Michelle. I may even be emboldened enough to try again tonight!

Buy My Book?

  • The book I co-wrote with my business partner Lauren Bacon is available at Amazon. How nutty is that? The Boss of You is a business book for women looking for advice to start or run a successful small business. The book features advice from some pretty smart gals including Jenny Hart (Sublime Stitching), Grace Boney (Design Sponge), Alex Beauchamp (Another Girl at Play), and many others.
