It just so happens that this weekend, as I took apart the disintegrating old blinds in our basement windows, I paused and decided to keep the basic hardware (the roller bits) thinking to myself that maybe one day I would get fiesty enough to reconstruct them. For surely, I told myself, the internet has some info on how to go about using up some of the many fabric scraps I've got ferreted away and blind hardware to make new blinds. Don't you think?
